Due to staff training the Swim Center will be closing at 12 pm on Sunday, March 9th.
Our gates will close to the public at 11:30 am. We will resume our normal schedule on Monday, March 10th.

While Santa Monica Swim Center undergoes preventative maintenance, we're excited to offer you an alternative for your lap swimming at the SamoHi Pool! Water temperature averages 80 - 82 degrees.

The Santa Monica Swim Center will be temporarily closed for our annual Winter Maintenance Closure beginning Saturday, December 14, 2024, through Sunday, January 5th, 2025. During this time, we will be performing necessary repairs and improvements to maintain the quality and safety of our facility.

Here’s what our guests can expect to take place during the closure:

·         Maintenance and repairs on all boilers

·         Resealing the chlorine and acid vat floors in the chemical room

·         Continuation of painting on awnings and columns

·         Tile replacement and repair around the perimeter of both pools

·         Preventative maintenance on pool pumps, machinery, and equipment

·         Deep cleaning of the entire facility, including deck drains and locker room fixtures

·         Electrical inspections and maintenance of all outlets and lights around the facility

The Swim Center will reopen on Monday, January 6th, 2025. We look forward to welcoming you back to a refreshed and well-maintained facility!

Beginning Monday, August 26th, the Santa Monica Swim Center will have new operational hours for the fall season. Please click here for the new fall 2024 hours

Facility will be closed on Thursday, November 28th and Friday November 29th in observance of Thanksgiving. We will be open on Saturday November 30th at our scheduled time.

Last day of recreational swimming for the season at the Swim Center will be Sunday November 17th until Spring 2025.

Sharks Swim Meet will take place on Sunday November 17th from 12:00pm - 5:00pm. Fitness Pool will have limited lap lanes 12:00pm 4:00pm. No lanes from 4:00pm - 5:00pm.

Mark your calendars! Priority resident registration: Online Wednesday August 7 (6am) through Tuesday August 13 Non-resident and in person registration: Beginning Wednesday August 14 (6am). Registration continues throughout the season. Visit smgov.net/reserve to register.
